Center for
Lifelong Learning Hosting Food Safety Program
ATHENS, Ala. - Athens State University
will offer a class for those interested in obtaining a ServSafe Food Protection
Manager Certificate. The class will be
held on Tuesday and Thursday, March 5 and 7 at the University’s Center for
Lifelong Learning located on the east side of the Limestone County Courthouse
Square. Classes for both days are from
9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The cost of $175
includes textbook and exam.
The ServSafe Food Protection program
blends the latest FDA food codes, food safety research and years of food
sanitation experience. Students will
learn to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food
safety.
“This is our second time to host this
program,” states Center Director Dr. Diane Sauers. “It was well received the first time and we
look forward to building a good class for this session.”
ServSafe is the premier provider of
food safety training. The coursework is
designed for employees seeking a Food Handler Card or an operation seeking a
compliant solution for your employees.
